This is the view out my bedroom window this morning. Isn't it beautiful?
I love waking up early and seeing the beautiful colors of the winter sky. I've always been a morning person...although I did let myself sleep in a little later than normal over break (sleeping in to me is until, like...7:00 a.m. hehe). I've been getting up at 5:00 a.m. (my normal time) the past couple of days to get back into my regular pattern - I just feel so much better!
Anyway, it was very important that I wake up at 5:00 this morning - I was supposed to be at my advisor's house (which is about a 40 minute drive from my house) at 6:45 to take the kiddos to school.... (he normally takes them, but he left this morning for Curacao - and Sabrina went, too! I'm so jealous! And Angel, the Mrs., can't take them because she has to be at work early, so...lucky me! ; ) But - Angel called me early this morning to let me know that her school (she's a high school teacher) had a delay because of the snow, so I didn't have to take the kids to school! Yay! I do have to pick them up and babysit this afternoon, but I'm actually kind-of looking forward to it - I haven't seen them in a couple of weeks and I sort-of miss them! ; )
*******
Be sure to swing back by here later - I have a couple of exciting projects to share!

Ah, I miss waking up to mornings like that! I grew up in Ohio, and loved waking up to snow. I've lived in SoCal for 8 years now and although we do have gorgeous mornings sometimes, it's just not the same.
ReplyDeleteI slept in til 8:30. I'm usually up at 7, but my usually snore-less husband was sawing logs last night so I went to the guest room and forgot to take my phone/alarm with me. It actually kind of felt good to wake up when my body wanted to wake up!
