Vignettes

In the kitchen...

In the living room...

In the hallway...

In the bedroom...

I hope you enjoyed a few peeks around our little house. It is slowly turning more and more into our cozy little home. A few special touches here and there, and we'll be all set. I love this process, and I love remembering the little in-between stages. ♥

Early morning, winter sunshine.

This is the view out my bedroom window this morning. Isn't it beautiful?
I love waking up early and seeing the beautiful colors of the winter sky. I've always been a morning person...although I did let myself sleep in a little later than normal over break (sleeping in to me is until, like...7:00 a.m. hehe). I've been getting up at 5:00 a.m. (my normal time) the past couple of days to get back into my regular pattern - I just feel so much better!

Anyway, it was very important that I wake up at 5:00 this morning - I was supposed to be at my advisor's house (which is about a 40 minute drive from my house) at 6:45 to take the kiddos to school.... (he normally takes them, but he left this morning for Curacao - and Sabrina went, too! I'm so jealous! And Angel, the Mrs., can't take them because she has to be at work early, so...lucky me! ; )  But - Angel called me early this morning to let me know that her school (she's a high school teacher) had a delay because of the snow, so I didn't have to take the kids to school! Yay! I do have to pick them up and babysit this afternoon, but I'm actually kind-of looking forward to it - I haven't seen them in a couple of weeks and I sort-of miss them! ; )

Be sure to swing back by here later - I have a couple of exciting projects to share!

I Want! I Want! Wednesday

Oh my, I am soooo crazy about these 2 prints by Ibraheem Youssef ('discovered' by me through Drops of Jupiter, thanks Tiffany!). I would love to have both of them, hanging side by side.... *love*

I've been pretty busy these past few days... last week, my (oh-so-important) clothing rack broke and collapsed, leaving me with nowhere to hang all of my clothes (there are no closets in my house - can you believe that?!). So my dad and I went to the store, and came home with this -

A (sort-of) real closet!! I'm soooo happy, now all of my chaos is behind closed doors, and I even have room for more!

I'm loving it.
