Exploring

This morning, we got an early start and took a little drive north through downtown Nashua, Manchester, and Concord. It was my first outing in New Hampshire, and I must say, its beautiful so far. We stopped in downtown Nashua for lunch on our way back through, but NO PLACES had vegan lunch options... I was pretty disappointed. We ended up going to Panera Bread, which is always delicious (even if it is somewhat pricey).

Matt is off work the next 2 days, which is good because we're moving into our house in Portsmouth on Friday!!!!! Tomorrow, we're going to load up his truck with as much as we can and take it up to the house. Friday we'll have a U-Haul for the furniture.

I am sooooo excited to finally be in Portsmouth. I spent most of this evening compiling a list of restaurants, parks, and festivals we need to go to! In no particular order:

The Works Bakery Cafe has New York-style bagels (the BEST) and vegan cream cheese.... in several flavors! Less than 2 miles from our house, you can bet that Matt and I will be there often.

The Press Room offers live music 7 nights a week (including traditional Irish, Scottish, English, and American) and veg options on the menu. I'm pretty sure we'll be regulars there in no time.

The New Hampshire Brew Fest is going to be on October 6 in Prescott Park. Definitely hope to be there!

Speaking of Prescott Park, President Obama is rumored to be speaking there next week! I'm hoping to get to go to that as well!

STREET sounds like an amazing restaurant with LOTS of veg options and a cool atmosphere.

The Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival, featuring roving sea shanties (!!!!) will be held the last weekend of September.

There are sooo many other festivals and events going on...these are only the tip of the iceburg! I think we'll have plenty to see and do once we get settled in!
