I don't have any big plans for today... my family is at work/school, and I have classes this afternoon and evening, so its not the best day to celebrate. I think we'll try to go out for a yummy Japanese dinner tomorrow night, perhaps. There will also be some red velvet cake involved (my favorite!)...

If I didn't have classes today, and could spend all day in the kitchen, I would make some of these yummy-looking treats:

I have a semi-busy day today...got lots of business to take care of an errands to run! I have some orders from le shop to ship out (thanks!), some fun snail-mail to send, and a huuuuge pile of laundry that's calling my name rather beligerently. Most importantly, I noticed this morning that my drivers license expires tomorrow and I never got a renewal notice in the mail. I need to figure out how I can take care of that so that I'm not driving on an expired license for the next week or two!! Then its off to class, babysitting, and then a night class! Woo! Long day!

Happy [early] birthday to me

My youngest sister probably won't see me tomorrow on my birthday, so she elected to give me her gift today. Of course I didn't argue! ;) Soooo cute! The "miso hot" magnet cracks me up.

as do these erasers. Can you believe those are actually supposed to be used to erase things!? I think the little cup o'soup is my favorite... the lid comes off and there is ramen inside. Seriously, Japan, stop being so hilarious/awesome.

I don't think we're doing anything for my birthday tomorrow... I have class until 9:15 p.m. so I won't get home until around 10:00. I guess we'll celebrate on Friday? No clue what we're doing yet... it usually snows/blizzards on my birthday (just missed me this year!) so I don't usually make big plans. Probably just dinner out...probably at my favorite Japanese place.  ;-)

Ok, I'm back from shopping with my mom. I got one treasure at the Goodwill, which I will show you as soon as I get some decent pictures of it; and she took me shopping at Target, where I got some really really wonderful goodies! But alas, I don't have pictures of them yet, either. But I will, and then I will show you. Until then, I'll leave you hanging.

But, I do have pictures of my cupcakes! I'm so proud of them! Just look!

All of the miniatures came from miss A.Bel, except for the mushrooms, which were a thrift store find the last time I visited Norfolk. The tiny deer and gnome cupcakes are my two favorites. I also really like the ballerina.....

And now, I'm off to have some vegetarian red beans & rice with "chicken" and some cupcakes...and then we're going to play Disney Scene It, which was one of my birthday presents. Oh! And then green cupcake stand above was a present to myself that I got at Target today. Hooray!
