Happy Sunday! Today is living up to its name - the sun is out and shining, but I've been spending my time inside, wrapped up in a blanket with my dogs keeping me cozy, reading my book, watching shows about dinosaurs on t.v., and doing a little art journaling.

This book is soooo good! I started it on Friday, and I'm already half-way through! I find symbology and religion highly fascinating, and best of all, this novel is set in Washington, D.C. so I can picture some of the places mentioned! Kinda makes me want to take a little trip into D.C. and visit the Museum of Natural History (my favorite!). I definitely need to see the Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef exhibit before it closes in April! It looks so cool!

Wow, I digress...anyway.... I made some new pages in my art journal today:

This spread might just be my favorite yet. The kraft paper is a little 'pocket' I made for the geisha postcard...the postcard is something I picked up for a few cents at the antique store.  And that little glassine envelope with a wax seal? It came on an Anthro sweater I bought in Portland 2 years ago...it held the extra button that came with it.

I'm going to try to get more stuff done today than yesterday...which reminds me, I need to set the record straight! A lot of lovely readers left comments about how much I really did do yesterday, what with steam-cleaning my carpet and all.... Well, I'd love to say that it was hard work, but... I only steamcleaned my bedroom, which has, like, 10 square feet of carpet in it. For reals. My room (aka "shoebox") is TINY, so steamcleaning the carpet takes a total of about 5 minutes. So really, I honestly did nothing yesterday, haha!

I did go to Target in the evening yesterday, though, and found a great cardigan in the kids' department for only $7.50! (Yes, I shop in the kids' department. Its cheap!) :-D

Today is going to be a looooong day.

I'm going to head to campus around 10:00, spend a few hours outside collecting GPS data (no fun), print out some stuff, babysit, grab some dinner and coffee, and then have class from 6:30-9:15. So I will be gone for about 12 hours today. Fun stuff. :-/

I'm probably going to bring my laptop with me since I'll (hopefully) have some breaks in between all of the craziness. Until then, happy Monday!!
